LASER THERAPY
Background

Murphy Frazier Chiropractic & Laser is pleased to announce that we are offering Class IV laser therapy for our patients. If you have been suffering from chronic pain, want to speed your post-op healing process, or if you are looking for an alternative to surgery, then visit San Diego’s FIRST treatment facility with the amazing Class IV laser.

What is laser therapy?

Laser therapy utilizes a Class IV therapeutic laser that safely increases circulation, drawing water, oxygen, and nutrients to the damaged area, actually helping the affected area return to its normal, healthy, relaxed state.

The laser stimulates the immune system, accelerates cellular healing and growth and creates an optimal healing environment. The patient will benefit from this healing environment by a reduction in inflammation, swelling, muscle spasms, stiffness, and pain.

What conditions can benefit from laser therapy?

We have helped patients with a variety of conditions reclaim their mobility, greatly lessen or eliminate pain, and in some cases, treat patients for whom all other treatments had failed.

Laser therapy is very effective for the treatment of the following conditions:

  • Sprains, strains, soft tissue injuries

  • Sports Injuries, tennis elbow and more

  • Bursitis and other inflammatory conditions

  • Carpal tunnel syndrome

  • Sciatica

  • Chronic joint pain – especially for those patients who are not a candidate for joint replacement or choose not to have joint replacement

  • Post-surgical pain

Pain Management

Class IV lasers have the ability to stimulate accelerated healing energy within a continuum of treatment depths from superficial to extremely deep. This enables the accelerated treatment of superficial wounds, stiff/sore muscles, fibrotic adhesions, sprains/strains, arthritis, and deep intra-articular tissues (inside of joints) unreachable by any other modality.

The treatment itself is completely painless. Combined with physical therapy and chiropractic adjustments, even chronic pain can be treated effectively.

Post-Operative Healing

Clinical studies have shown that laser therapy is especially beneficial for post-op patients. It works to accelerate tissue repair and cell growth, heal wounds faster, reduce the formation of scar tissue, reduce swelling and pain, improve vascular and metabolic activity and boosts the function of the immune system.

The energy produced by the laser stimulates the production of collagen and ATP (a DNA-related enzyme that serves as a source of energy to cells), promotes blood circulation, and stimulates the regeneration of nerves. The non-invasive treatment speeds recovery and accelerates bone and wound healing, which means significantly less down time for the patient.

Alternative to Surgery

Over 2,500 scientific studies in the National Library of Medicine have identified the many benefits of laser therapy as an alternative to surgical intervention for pain. If you are considering pursuing a non-surgical, non-drug, approach to treating your pain, Murphy Frazier Chiropractic & Laser can help.

Laser therapy does not require the use of drugs or invasive treatment; there are fewer side effects and risks, and it is quick, painless, and convenient. To see if you are a candidate for laser therapy as an alternative to surgery, please schedule an appointment with one of our doctors.
